I read in an older post, that changing the dpi to 300 from the default of 200 may fix this issue, but was unable to find the setting. I have removed the Doc feeder and cleaned both sides of the glass, also gently cleaned the scanner with a dry cloth. I know when the code is going to pop up because it does make a slight noise as if the belt that moves the scanner is slipping. The machine is current on firmware, it updated on January 17th to 20150126. Sometimes it will work fine for quite a few, sometimes not so much. I have seen many posts about this and realize that the scanner could potentially need to be replaced, but I'm not entirely sure that will be the case in my situation, so I was hoping to get a second opinion. This copier is giving me a Scanner Error 6 code.
